A TECHNICAL UPDATE ON S&P-500–20.4.2026

S&P-500

Open—7087.06--High—7147.52—Low—7082.70—Close—7126.06 on 17.4.2026.

Support:7002.24/6986.33/6952.51/6945.77/6920.34/6903.46/6887.01/6885.89/6869.91/6824.31/6799.94/6789.08/6780.13/6775.50/6764.15/6754.30/6752.16/6720.95/6711.01/6698.88/6655.69/6651.62/6631.44/6623.92/6593.99/6569.22/6551.36/6521.92/6508.12/6477.38/6473.52/6427.02/6360.58/6343.86/6212.69/6201/6147.43/6099.97/6059.40/6003.79/5944.85/5924.10/5835.81/5768.87/5696.53/5674/5578.82/5504.65/5433.24.----

Resistance: 7147.52/7172/7189/7264/7344/73717426/7516/7689.

It made an all-time high of 7002.24 on 28.1.2026 and thereafter corrected and finally made bottom on 30.3.2026 at 6316.90 and since then it has been vertically rising for almost last 13 days in a row and had a cumulative rise of more than 825 points and hit a new all-time high of 7147.52 on 17.4.2026. Technically it is looking great for the continuation of the up-move but the vertical rise has also made it highly vulnerable for correction, therefore it is suggested to be alert and cautious at this juncture because it could correct any moment. However please note that as long as it holds the range of 7002.24---6945.77---6887.01---6845.50 on the closing basis then the chances of a continued up-move will be alive, but break & sustained close below 7002.24 it will be an alert sign for going down and break & sustained close below the range of 6945.77---6887.01---6845.50 may trigger fall and it may witness an accelerated down move.

NOTE: - It is a technical assessment of the indices as of now, the technical interpretation changes with the price movement and time; therefore it needs periodic review, which may please be noted. This is for educational purpose.
